Star Battle is a binary determination puzzle in which the position of stars located in a grid must be determined.
Rules[]
The objective is to paint stars in each shape, row and column, subject to the following rules:
- The number of stars in each shape, row and column is equal to the number given.
- Stars cannot touch vertically, horizontally or diagonally.

Variants[]
Unless otherwise indicated, standard star battle rules apply to all variants.
Simple Star Battle: No regions are present, instead the grid is irregular. The number of stars in each row and column is equal to the number given.
Star Duel: Multiple grids are given. The location of stars in all grids is the same.
